Robert J. "Hoop" Schaible,
74, of Upper Black Eddy, PA, passed away on Thursday,
December 22, 2005 at Doylestown Manor in Doylestown, PA.
Born: On June 17, 1931 in Upper Black Eddy, PA,
he was a son of the late Percy and Ruth Frankenfield
Schaible.
Personal: A lifelong resident of Upper Black
Eddy, Hoop worked as a self-employed stone mason for many
years. He was a well know stock car driver, his number
was "95". He raced regularly in Flemington and
Nazareth, as well as other race tracks. He enjoyed
antique tractors and steam engines.
He served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean
Conflict.
Survivors: Robert is survived by a sister,
Arlene S. Hoff; and three brothers, Luther, Willard, and
Paul Schaible, all of Upper Black Eddy.
Services: There will be no services.
Burial will be in Upper Tinicum Cemetery. Arrangements
are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24
Church Road, Milford, NJ.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made in his memory to the Upper Black Eddy Volunteer
Fire Company, P.O. Box 171, Upper Black Eddy, PA
18972.
