Guestbook...Leave a comment in our online guestbook! Posted: 1/2/2008 8:11:37 PM I'll always remember Hoop as a great racer as I spent alot of my childhood days in his garage getting ready for the races at flemington , nazareth , and harmony . The orange 95 has become a legend in the small river town of Upper Black Eddy. Long live the 95. Rest easy Hoop! Ken Stull Posted: 1/2/2008 10:24:20 PM I often think about Hoop and remember the 95 well. Sometimes it seemed the car was ready to literally fall apart on the track and yet Hoop finished the race. He was emblamtic of the era in which he raced. He will always be remembered by those who were lucky enough to see stock car racing in it's heyday! Posted: 1/7/2008 10:22:57 PM Great website. A real tribute to an interesting man. You need to get #95 running again and terrorize the folks in sleepy ol' Upper Black Eddy!! There is a picture of Hoop, along with pictures of lots of local drivers, covering the walls at Fat Daddy’s Barbecue on Sullivan Trail in Easton PA. The food is good and the pictures are great! BobS in UBE Posted: 1/28/2008 12:24:53 AM Hi, nice site! Posted: 4/20/2008 12:30:06 AM I THOUGHT OF YOU OFTEN THRU THE YEARS...WE HAD SOME CRAZY TIMES... SORRY THAT YOUR GONE. LOVE BEVERLY J. Posted: 8/2/2008 6:29:30 PM Having lived "up the hill" from Hoop's garage, of course I knew of his racing career at Flemington in the good ole "95". He was the town hero...the personification of the bad boys of Upper Black Eddy. In his last year, and right before his death, I was one of his caregivers. I was thrilled to be able to give back to this man, who had given our small town some really wild times, the care that he needed. He was always the jokester, but always the gentleman. God rest his beautiful soul. BLG |
